Josh Tigges puts the raw back into indie rock. He’s power indie; electric with a little kick. Imagine Johnny Cash on vacation with a kick drum.
After years of switching from software sales, to teaching special ed, and finally flipping hot dogs, Josh felt music was his calling. It was an itch he had to scratch, but his untrained vocals caused anxiety. So he took vocal classes, and practiced daily. After six months, his vocal coach said he was ready to record.
Josh took three songs he believed in to producer, Daniel Mendez, because of his ability to make the “raw” and minimalist sound he wanted. In September of 2018 they recorded at Seattle’s famous Robert Lang Studios. You may pick up notes of Sufjan Stevens and Julien Baker in Josh’s three course musical meal titled, “Until We’re Home EP.” It’s just sweet enough and will satiate your soul’s hunger for truth.
